Release Date: 28-November-1994
Affected Versions: Version 1.40 to Version 1.40a
Symptoms: When using the new row types introduced with V1.4 (Min, Max, and Symbol rows) along with multiple row patterns either (1) incorrect range restrictions are applied and incorrect errors are reported for values in target columns; (2) incorrect range restrictions are applied silently with no reported errors; or (3) an Application Error occurs on PC/Windows systems indicating a General Protection Fault in the module NEUR14.DLL at an address near 0006:05xx or a freeze-up or exception error occurs on Macintosh systems.
Problem: In Neuralyst V1.40 to V1.40a, target columns are mis-indexed when dealing with range restrictions expressed by the MIN and MAX rows. The error only occurs in target columns when the number of rows per pattern is set to a value greater than 1. The error can manifest as either spurious reports of out-of- range values in a target column, missed or unreported out-of-range values in a target column, or as a General Protection Fault. These conditions do not occur in an input column. Solution: Neuralyst V1.40b, or greater, corrects this problem and correctly handles the special rows in both target and input columns.
