Release Date: 1-December-1994
Affected Versions: Version 1.40a and earlier
Symptoms: When running Excel 5.0 or greater on PC/Windows systems with the startup directory or folder forced to a user selected location, starting up Neuralyst via the installed icon causes an error message that a Neuralyst file, NEURLYST.DLL, NEUR14.DLL or NEURXTRA.XLM, cannot be found. This problem does not seem to occur on Macintosh systems.
Problem: The user settable default directory feature on Excel 5.0 allows the Excel macro sheet file, NEURLYST.XLM on Windows, to be found while causing subsequent file searches to occur in the user set default directory rather than the Neuralyst startup directory, resulting in additional needed Neuralyst files not being found. Solution: Neuralyst V1.40b, or greater, corrects this problem and remembers the directory in which NEURLYST.XLM on PC/Windows was started despite the default directory being set elsewhere.
