Release Date: 7-April-1995
Affected Versions: Neuralyst 1.40b or earlier.
Symptoms: An Excel macro error with the message “Command or menu does not exist. Macro error at cell: [NEURLYST.XLM]NEURLYST!A25” occurs immediately after Neuralyst startup.
Problem: If Neuralyst detects that it is operating in a narrow window, then it attempts to save menu bar space by renaming its menus “N.” and “C.” rather than “Neural” and “Config”. However, if there are optional libraries enabled, such as TML (Trader’s Macro Library), then the Neuralyst startup sequence also attempts to perform some menu adjustments to add or delete menu items; but the old menu names rather than the new menu names are used, resulting in the error message. Solution: Neuralyst V1.40c corrects this problem. On older versions, use an Excel startup window configuration that is maximized or close to full screen.
